Corrado Junior Soprano Corrado "Junior" Soprano (Dominic Chianese) Son of Italian immigrants and eldest of three brothers, Junior and his brother Giovanni - otherwise known as Johnny Boy, father of Tony - became involved in the DiMeo crime family at an early age and maintained a stranglehold over the New Jersey mob scene since their rise to power. Junior took over as head following Johnny Boy's death, the death of DiMeo family head Jackie Aprile, and the incarceration of Dominic DiMeo - but following his own investigation after Tony effectively seized hold of the day-to-day running of the family, leaving the old man as little more than a public figurehead for the gang, Junior was placed under house arrest. Tony's domineering mother Livia convinced the now-bitter Junior to order a hit on her son, which failed - resulting in Tony freezing Junior out even further. Junior has shown violent, almost psychotic tendencies, but following his own experience with cancer and further illness, in addition to his constant incarceration in his house, he is increasingly confused, dependent and vulnerable. » Soprano Cast |
